ORDINANCE NO. 030699

 

Amending Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances, by adding a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0487, rezoning an area of approximately 7.7 acres generally located at the northeast corner of N. Highland Avenue and N.E. Barry Road from District RA (Agricultural) to District R-2a (Two-Family Dwellings, Low Density). (12916-P)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0487, rezoning an area of approximately 7.7 acres generally located at the northeast corner of N. Highland Avenue and N.E. Barry Road from District RA (Agricultural) to District R-2a (Two-Family Dwellings, Low Density), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 80-11A0395. That an area legally described as:

 

Lot 5, Johnsons Subdivision, a subdivision in Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner of said Lot 5; thence South 0E1747 West, along the east line of Lot 5, 586.19 feet to a point on the north right-of-way of N.E. Barry Road; thence South 82E0322 West, along said right-of-way, 511.38 feet; thence North 56̊4847 West, 19.97 feet; thence North 0E17'47" East, 28.00 feet; thence North 89E42'13" West, 5.00 feet to a point on the east right of way of N. Highland Avenue; thence North 0E17'47" East, along said right of way, 642.05 feet to the northeast corner of said Lot 5; thence South 87E22'50" East, along the north line of Lot 5, 528.30 feet to the point of beginning.

 

is hereby rezoned from District RA (Agricultural) to District R-2a (Two-Family Dwellings, Low Density), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0487, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
