ORDINANCE NO. 960384

 

Approving and authorizing the Director of City Development to execute a lease agreement between the City and Consolidated Freightways Corporation of Delaware, for the leasing of City property generally located at the vacant land on west side and south side of the inactive Gardner Avenue Pump Station, for the purpose of a paved parking area and a paved driveway entrance for and to the existing business, for a term of five years with option to renew for an additional term of five years.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of City Development is hereby authorized to execute a lease agreement between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and Consolidated Freightways Corporation of Delaware, for the leasing of City property generally located at the vacant land on west side and south side of the inactive Gardner Avenue Pump Station outside of the inner fence in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and more particularly described as follows:

 

The south 21 feet and the west 26.33 feet of the north 100 feet of the east 110 feet of the west one half of Lot 94 lying south of Gardner Avenue as established on November 21, 1952.

 

A copy of the lease agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, for a term of five years, beginning March 1, 1996, with an option to renew for an additional term of five years at a rental rate of seven hundred twenty-two dollars ($722.00) each year adjusted according to the Consumer Price Index for the purpose of a paved parking area and a paved driveway entrance for and to the existing business of said lessee.
