ORDINANCE NO. 990789
Accepting
a Missouri Corporation Warranty Deed from Tag Associates of Kansas City, Inc.,
as receiver of the Housing Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, conveying to the
City certain property in Jackson County, Missouri for public use as an addition
to Observation Park and directing the City Clerk to record the ordinance.
WHEREAS,
the Council finds and determines that, by Resolution No. 24589 adopted by the Board
of Parks and Recreation Commissioners on March 2, 1999, certain lands were
acquired through donation for public use for park purposes as an addition to
Observation Park in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and said Board has
now recommended to the Council that the deed hereinafter described be accepted
for public use; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE
IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section
1. That pursuant to a certain Missouri Corporation Warranty Deed, recorded in
the office of the Director of Records for Jackson County, Missouri, at Kansas
City as Instrument No. K16990 in Book K3175, at page 1534, the City Council
hereby accepts said property for public use for park purposes in accordance
with Article III, Section 58 of the Charter of Kansas City. The property is
legally described as follows:
All of Tract B, Replat of Pennway Plaza, a subdivision
in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, according to the recorded plat
thereof.
Section
2. That Resolution No. 24589 evidences the intent of the Board of Parks and
Recreation Commissioners to accept such real property for park purposes.
Section
3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to record a copy of this ordinance
in the office of the Director of Records for Jackson County, Missouri, at
Kansas City as evidence of the acceptance of the herein described property by
the City for public use purposes.
