COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 951427

 

Amending Chapter 65, Revised Ordinances of Kansas City, Missouri, 1956, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, by adding a new section to be known as Section 65.010A2614, rezoning an area of approximately 34.10 acres generally located on the south side of N.E. Parvin Road at N. Lewis Avenue from District RA (Agricultural) to District M-2a (Heavy Industry). (10694-P-4)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 65, Revised Ordinances of Kansas City, Missouri, 1956, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 65.010A2614, rezoning an area of approximately 34.10 acres generally located on the south side of N.E. Parvin Road at N. Lewis Avenue from District RA (Agricultural) to District M-2a (Heavy Industry), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 65.010A2614. That an area legally described as:

 

All that part of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 3 and all that part of the East 1/2 of Section 10, both being in Township 50, Range 32, in Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, lying above the top of the winterset ledge of limestone rock and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the southeast corner of said Section 3; thence North 0 41'01" East along the east line of the Southeast 1/4 of said Section 3, a distance of 1772.10 feet to a point on the southeasterly right of way line of Parvin Road, as established by instrument recorded in Book 1390 at page 195 as Document No. E-7361; thence southwesterly along last said southeasterly right of way line along a curve to the left having an initial tangent bearing of South 50 49'44" West, a radius of 2824.79 feet, a central angle of 3 28'34", an arc distance of 171.38 feet; thence South 47 20'18" West, continuing along said southeasterly right of way line, a distance of 884.44 feet; thence southwesterly continuing along said southeasterly right of way line along a curve to the right having a radius of 860.00 feet, a central angle of 19 33'34", an arc distance of 293.58 feet; thence South 24 14'32" West departing said southeasterly right of way line, a distance of 126.32 feet; thence South 30 24'59" East, a distance of 2034.49 feet; thence southeasterly along a curve to the left having a radius of 750.00 feet, a central angle of 2 38'36", an arc distance of 34.60 feet to a point on the east line of the Northeast 1/4 of said Section 10; thence North 0 27'20" East, along said east line, a distance of 997.43 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 34.103 acres, more or less.

 

is hereby rezoned from District RA (Agricultural) to District M-2a (Heavy Industry), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 65.010A2614, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 65.010 thereof.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
