RESOLUTION NO. 030128

Honoring Marilyn Labuck for her more than 37 years of dedicated service to Kansas City on the occasion of her retirement from the City Planning and Development Department.

WHEREAS, Marilyn Labuck has been an outstanding employee of Kansas City, Missouri for more than 37 years; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn began her career with Kansas City on September 27, 1965, in the Public Works Department; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn received promotions and acknowledgment of her service to Kansas City throughout her years of employment; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn is concluding her career in a position of responsibility as a Right of Way Agent in the Property and Relocation Services Division of the City Planning and Development Department; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn has served the Public Works, Finance and City Planning and Development Departments with distinction, demonstrating a level of commitment and devotion to her work and performing her duties in a superior manner; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Mayor and Council hereby extend to Marilyn Labuck, on the occasion of her retirement from City service, their heartiest best wishes for her future together with their most sincere appreciation for her more than 37 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Kansas City; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be provided to Mrs. Labuck in token of their respect and high regard, and their best wishes for a long and happy retirement which she so richly deserves.
