RESOLUTION NO. 990013

 

Congratulating City Architect Thomas R. Bean upon his election as president-elect of the Kansas City Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

 

WHEREAS, City Architect Thomas R. Bean was recently recognized by his peers for his contributions to architectural design and his professional endeavors in the public sector by overseeing the largest number of public building improvements undertaken within the City of Kansas City, Missouri; and

 

WHEREAS, Tom was also elected and installed as president-elect of the Kansas City Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, thus beginning a three year period of service to that professional organization, first as president-elect for a year, then serving one year as president, and finally serving one additional year as past-president; and

 

WHEREAS, this well deserved honor and public recognition of his stature within his profession brings credit personally to Tom Bean and to his employer the City of Kansas City and its Public Works Department; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby offer their heartiest congratulations to City Architect Thomas R. Bean upon his election as president-elect of the Kansas City Chapter of the American Institute of Architects; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council, and that a copy hereof be presented to him in token of the sincere appreciation of the Mayor, Council and citizens of Kansas City for his conscientious service to his profession and to the people of Kansas City.
