ORDINANCE NO. 100600

Authorizing the Director of Public Works to accept a Quit Claim Deed from the State of Missouri, acting by and through the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, for right-of-way for the relocation of North Eastern Avenue at Route 291 in Clay County, Missouri.

WHEREAS, the Council finds that the State of Missouri, acting by and through the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, will execute and record, simultaneously, a quit claim deed to the City of Kansas City, Missouri a municipal corporation, conveying a portion of former Route P, also known as North Eastern Avenue, a copy of said deed is hereto attached and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit A; and

WHEREAS, the Council finds for the public good it is deemed necessary to accept the quit claim deed of the State’s interest in former Route P; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is authorized and directed to accept a Quit Claim Deed, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, deeding right of way acquired for the relocation of former Route P to the City from the State of Missouri, acting by and through the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission.
