ORDINANCE NO. 140111

 

Declaring certain real property located at 534 Highland surplus to the City’s needs; authorizing the Public Works Director to offer for sale the City’s interest in this property in accord with City regulations, to later convey it, and executing related documents, and directing the City Clerk to record this ordinance in the office of the Recorder of Deeds in Jackson County, Missouri.

 

WHEREAS, the City owns rights in certain real property at 534 Highland; and

 

WHEREAS, all City Departments have been notified and this property is not needed by the City and no interest has been expressed in retaining the land for future public use; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the parcel, described below, is hereby declared surplus to the City’s needs.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works Department is hereby authorized to offer and sell in accord with City regulations, the City’s rights in the property located at 534 Highland, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri; said property being more particularly described as follows:

 

A tract of land being part of Weston’s Addition, and part of Hurcks Subdivision of the Guinotte Bluff, both subdivisions in Kansas City, Missouri, as recorded in the Jackson County Recorder’s Office, said tract being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the centerline of now vacated Highland Avenue (Vacation Ordinance No. 120480), said point being the extension of the south line of lot 101, Suwanee, a subdivision in Kansas City, Missouri, as recorded in the Jackson County Recorder’s Office, thence along said centerline on an assumed bearing of South 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East, 354.02 feet; thence leaving said centerline, South 89 degrees 36 minutes 34 seconds West, 150.00 feet; thence North 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East, 39.00 feet; thence South 89 degrees 36 minutes 34 seconds West, 150.00 feet to a point on the Easterly right-of-way line of the Paseo; thence North 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East, 228.94 feet; thence North 06 degrees 30 minutes 02 seconds East, 256.76 feet, to a point intersecting a curve that is the southerly lot line of said lot 101, Suwanee and the Easterly right-of-way line of the Paseo; thence leaving said right-of-way line along said Southerly lot line along a curve to the left having a radius of 150.00 feet, an a arc length of 252.64 feet, and a chord bearing of South 41 degrees 44 minutes 57 seconds East; thence continuing along the Southerly lot line of lot 101, North 90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East, 121.89 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 2.44 acres more or less (106,478.44 square feet±) and being subject to all public roads, easements, reservations, restrictions, covenants, and conditions, if any, now of record.

 

Section 3. That the Director of the Public Works Department is hereby authorized to execute any real estate or other documents needed to effectuate the transaction noted herein.
