ORDINANCE NO. 940103

 

Authorizing the City Clerk to enter into an extension of an agreement with Municipal Code Corporation for recodifying the Charter and Ordinances of Kansas City, and authorizing expenditure of $35,000.00 in funding therefor.

 

WHEREAS, by passage of Ordinance No. 930147 on February 25, 1993, the City Council approved an agreement with Municipal Code Corporation for the recodification of the Charter and Ordinances of Kansas City; and

 

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 930147 provided the City Clerk an option to continue the terms of the aforesaid agreement for the following two years; and

 

WHEREAS, Municipal Code Corporation has provided its services in the continuing process of recodifying the Charter and Ordinances; NOW THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized to exercise the first year's option to continue the agreement with Municipal Code Corporation for the recodification of the Charter and Ordinances of Kansas City.

 

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized to expend up to the sum of $35,000.00 from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 94-100-002-1500-B1320 to satisfy the costs of the agreement extension. _____________________________________________

 

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
