ORDINANCE NO. 130124

 

Authorizing reconstruction of sidewalks, curbs, driveway entrances, and appurtenances along various streets Citywide; reducing and increasing appropriations in the Revolving Public Improvement Fund in the amount of $455,090.00; estimating revenue in the amount of $62,771.00 in the Capital Improvements Fund; appropriating to the Citywide Curb and Sidewalk Repair account; and authorizing assessment of the costs against the properties benefited.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is authorized to expend $455,090.00 for the work of reconstructing Portland cement concrete sidewalks, curbs, driveway entrances and appurtenances, as part of the Public Improvements Program, Kansas City, Missouri, for Project No. 89060398.

Section 2. That the following account in the Revolving Public Improvements Fund is reduced in the following amount:

13-3190-897763-B-89009996 Sidewalk and Curb Construction $455,090.00

Section 3. That the sum of $455,090.00 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Revolving Public Improvement Fund to the following account:

13-3190-897763-B-89060398 City Wide Curb & Sidewalk Repair $455,090.00

Section 4. That the revenue in the following accounts is estimated in the following amount:

 

13-3090-891525-462160 Sidewalk Administration fee $ 58,848.00

13-3090-891525-462180 Sidewalk Engineering fee 3,923.00

TOTAL $ 62,771.00

 

Section 5. That the sum of $62,771.00 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Capital Improvements Fund to the following account in the Capital Improvements Fund:

 

13-3090-898077-A-89060398 Citywide Curb & Sidewalk Repair $ 62,771.00

Section 6. That the special assessments are authorized pursuant to Section 814 of the City Charter, such assessments to be made in the manner provided for in Section 64-243, Code or Ordinances.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
