ORDINANCE NO. 060900
Authorizing the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services to accept
a grant in the amount of $159,084.00 from the Missouri Department of Health and
Senior Services; authorizing execution of contracts with various agencies to promote community policy and environmental changes as
they relate to healthy lifestyle choices; reducing revenue in the amount
of $115,299.00 in the General Fund; increasing revenue in the amount of
$159,084.00 in the General Fund; and appropriating $43,785.00 to the MDHSS-UCDC account of the General Fund.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the Director of Neighborhood and Community
Services is authorized to accept a grant in the amount of $159,084.00 from the
Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and
execute, on behalf of Kansas City, contracts with various agencies for the
purpose of promoting community policy and environmental changes as they relate
to healthy lifestyle choices in the grant, Account No. 07-1000-5754020-B
beginning June 1, 2006 through July 31, 2007.
Section 2. That the revenue in
the following account of the General Fund is reduced by the following amount:
07-1000-572096-471800 MDHSS-UCDC $115,299.00
Section 3. That the revenue in
the following account of the General Fund is estimated in the following amount:
07-1000-570001-471806 MDHSS-UCDC $159,084.00
Section 4. That the appropriation in the following account of the General Fund is increased
by the following amount:
07-1000-575402-B MDHSS-UCDC $43,785.00

I hereby certify that
there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation
to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance,
otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which
payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
