ORDINANCE NO. 010230

 

Authorizing a $317,928.00 contract with Wilson Plumbing Co., Inc., for constructing an enclosed storm drainage system from N.E. 48th Street to N. Sycamore between and along San Rafael and Tullis Drive; estimating revenue in the amount of $149,000.00 in the KCMAC Leasehold Revenue Capital Improvement 1994A Bond Fund; reducing an appropriation in the amount of $247,000.00 in the KCMAC Leasehold Revenue Capital Improvement 1994A Bond Fund; appropriating the amount of $396,000.00 to the Gracemor Storm Drainage account of the KCMAC Leasehold Revenue Capital Improvement 1994A Bond Fund; authorizing a $15,475.00 Second Amendment to Agreement No. 950858 with Cook, Flatt and Strobel for engineering and inspection during construction; and authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend $396,000.00 for the project.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into and execute, on behalf of the City, a $317,928.00 contract with Wilson Plumbing Co., Inc., a Missouri corporation, relating to the work of constructing an enclosed storm drainage system from N.E. 48th Street to N. Sycamore between and along San Rafael and Tullis Drive consisting of 2551 linear feet of reinforced concrete pipe Class III or alternate corrugated steel pipe ranging in size from 15" to 42" pipe, 9 area inlet structures, 12 curb inlets, connection of street drainage to the enclosed system, related curbs, piping and other necessary appurtenances, all in Council District 1, Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, Project No. 3502. A copy of the contract is on file in the office of the Director of Public Works and is incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the KCMAC Leasehold Revenue Capital Improvement 1994A Bond Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:

 

01-393-089-7450 00 DNR Stormwater Grant $149,000.00

 

Section 3. That the appropriation in the following account of the KCMAC Leasehold Revenue Capital Improvement 1994 Bond Fund is hereby reduced in the following amount:

 

95-393-089-7209-T Southwest Boulevard $247,000.00

 

Section 4. That the sum of $396,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the KCMAC Leasehold Revenue Capital Improvement 1994A Bond Fund to the following account in the KCMAC Leasehold Revenue Capital Improvement 1994A Bond Fund:

 

01-393-089-7110-T Gracemor Storm Drainage $396,000.00

 

Section 5. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to execute a $15,475.00 Second Amendment to Agreement No. 950858 with Cook, Flatt and Strobel for engineering and inspection during the construction. A copy of the contract is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

 


Section 6. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $396,000.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 01-393-089-7110-T for the aforesaid contract and for contingencies and engineering associated therewith.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
