ORDINANCE NO. 910035

 

Authorizing a contract in the amount of $86,664.50 with Radmacher Brothers Excavating, a partnership, for improvement of the intersection of Holmes Road and 135th Street; estimating revenue in the amount of $62,000.00 contribution from Jackson County for the project; and appropriating such sum to the project account.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the work of grading, paving and drainage improvement in the vicinity of the intersection of Holmes Road and 135th Street in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, Council District No. 6, Project No. 1216, is hereby provided for and authorized.

 

Section 2. That the work shall be done in accordance with the plans, specifications and the contract therefore between Kansas City, Missouri, through its Director of Public Works, and Radmacher Brothers Excavating, a partnership, in the amount of $86,664.50, which contract is hereby approved and confirmed. A copy of the said contract is on file in the office of the Director of Public Works and is incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 3. That the revenue in the following account of the Capital Improvements Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:

 

9-62024 Contribution from Jackson County $62,000.00 for 135th and Holmes

 

Section 4. That the sum of $62,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Capital Improvements Fund, Account No. 9-801, to the following account in the Capital Improvements Fund:

 

9-40414T 135th and Holmes $62,000.00

 

Section 5. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $107,000.00 from funds herein and heretofore appropriated to Account No. 9-40414-T, as and for consideration in the aforesaid contract and for contingencies and engineering associated therewith.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
