ORDINANCE NO. 110096

 

Estimating revenue, reducing appropriations and appropriating $147,500.00 in the General Fund for funds received through the Isle of Capri Lease; and approving the Revised City Manager’s Certificate for Fiscal Year 2010-2011.

 

WHEREAS, on May 14, 1993, the City of Kansas City, Missouri and the Port Authority of Kansas City, Missouri entered into the Kansas City Riverfront Lease Agreement, subsequently amended, pursuant to which the City leased certain riverfront property to the Port Authority, and established a budget approval process for the use of Leased Property Revenues received from the Sublease; and

 

WHEREAS, on May 13, 2010, the Council passed Ordinance No. 100392, approving the City Manager’s Certificate, which comprises a budget for use of the City’s portion of Leased Property Revenues for Fiscal Year 2010-2011; and

 

WHEREAS, the City desires to revise the Fiscal Year 2010-2011 City Manager’s Certificate to amend funding amounts for projects previously approved by Council; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That $134,137.00 is estimated in the following account of the General Fund:

 

11-1000-120000-482090 Contribution from Kansas City Port

Authority $134,137.00

 

Section 2. That an appropriation in the General Fund is reduced in the following amount:

 

11-1000-642341-B Port Authority Riverfront Grant $ 13,363.00

 

Section 3. That $147,500.00 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund:

 

11-1000-899753-G Diamond Interchange Improvements $142,500.00

1000-647230-B-64007230 Town of Kansas 5,000.00

TOTAL $147,500.00

 

Section 4. That the Revised City Manager's Certificate for Fiscal Year 2010-2011 is hereby approved. A copy of said Certificate is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
