ORDINANCE NO. 990360
Amending Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances, by
adding a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0204, rezoning an area of
approximately 37 acres generally bounded by Independence Boulevard on the
north, 9th Street on the south, Prospect Avenue on the west, and Benton
Boulevard on the east from District R-4 (Low Apartments) to District R-1b
(One-Family Dwellings).
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF
KANSAS CITY:
Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of
Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, 1996, commonly known as the
Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as
Section 80-11A0204, rezoning an area of approximately 37 acres generally
bounded by Independence Boulevard on the north, 9th Street on the south,
Prospect Avenue on the west, and Benton Boulevard on the east from District R-4
(Low Apartments) to District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings), said section to read
as follows:
Section 80-11A0204. That an area
legally described as:
The south 110 feet of
Lots 4 through 8, Long Croysdale and Vaughans Subdivision, a subdivision lying
in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and Lots 4 through 7, Amanda Place, a
subdivision lying in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and Lots 1 through
4, Block C, and Lots 1 through 4, Block D, Vaughan Place, a subdivision lying
in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and a tract of land beginning at the
northeast corner of Lot 1, Block C, Vaughan Place, a subdivision lying in
Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, then east along the south line of 6th
Street, a distance of 160 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 14, Corrected
Plat of Fanshaw Place, a subdivision lying in Kansas City, Jackson County,
Missouri, then south along the west line of Lots 14 and 15, Corrected Plat of
Fanshaw Place, a distance of 270 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 15,
Corrected Plat of Fanshaw Place, then west along the north line of 7th Street a
distance of 160 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block D, Vaughan Place,
then north along the east line of Lot 1, Block D and Lot 1, Block C, Vaughan
Place, a distance of 270 feet to the point of beginning, and Lots 1 through 28,
Corrected Plat of Fanshaw Place, a subdivision lying in Kansas City, Jackson
County, Missouri, and Lots 1 through 10, Block 15, James A. Bayles Place, a
subdivision lying in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and Lot 15, Block
15, Long Croysdale and Vaughans Subdivision, a subdivision lying in Kansas
City, Jackson County, Missouri, and Lots A through J. Block 15, Margaret Place,
a subdivision lying in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and Lots 11
through 17 and Lots 21 through 28, Chick & Krulls Addition, a subdivision
lying in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and Lots 1 through 12, Block A
and Lots 1 through 24, Block B, Mary Stewart Place, a subdivision lying in
Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and Lots 1 through 16 and Lots 23 and
24, W. H. Collins 10th Addition, a subdivision lying in Kansas City, Jackson
County, Missouri, and Lots 1 through 7 and Lots 10 through 14 and Lots 17
through 21, Anderson Place, a subdivision lying in Kansas City, Jackson County,
Missouri, and
Lots 1 through 6,
Carlisle Place, a subdivision lying in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri,
and a tract of land beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 1, W. H. Collins
Investment Cos 3rd Addition, a subdivision lying in Kansas City, Jackson
County, Missouri, then west along the south line of 8th Street, a distance of
120 feet, then south along a line 120 feet west of and parallel to the west
line of said Lot 1, a distance of 150 feet, then east along a line parallel to
the south line of 8th Street, a distance of 120 feet to the southwest corner of
said Lot 1, then north along the west line of said Lot 1, a distance of 150
feet to the point of beginning, and Lots 1 through 18, W. H. Collins Investment
Cos 3rd Addition, a subdivision lying in Kansas City, Jackson County,
Missouri, and Lots 1 through 17, McFerren Place, a subdivision lying in Kansas
City, Jackson County, Missouri.
is hereby rezoned from
District R-4 (Low Apartments) to District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings), all as
shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0204, which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to
the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to
Section 80-11 thereof.
Section B.
That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the
proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the
Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
