Directing the City Auditor to conduct a performance audit of the City’s Animal Control Division.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the City Auditor is directed to conduct a performance audit of the City’s Animal Control Division. The audit shall include, but not necessarily be limited to an examination of the division’s current practices and identification of recommended practices with respect to operations and employee training.

Section 2. That the City Auditor will present a proposed scope statement and time table for completion of the performance audit to the Neighborhoods and Public Safety Committee within 60 days of the adoption of this resolution. The City Auditor will also inform the committee if any additional resources are needed to complete the audit.
