ORDINANCE NO. 110419
Authorizing the Director of
Public Works to accept funds from Jackson County; estimating revenue in the
amount of $1,400,000.00 in the Capital Improvements Fund; appropriating
$1,400,000.00 from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Capital Improvements
Fund to project number 89001270 Longview-Blue Ridge to Spring Valley;
designating requisitioning authority; and recognizing an emergency.
WHEREAS, by
Resolution 16286, dated May 7, 2007, the County authorized the Cooperative
Agreement with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, in connection with County
Urban Road System (CURS) road and bridge projects; and
WHEREAS, one of the
City’s road projects authorized for CURS reimbursement by the Cooperative
Agreement is Longview Road; and
WHEREAS, the City of
Kansas City, has requested $1,400,000.00 from its County Urban Road System
(CURS) Bond Fund account to cover the match for federal funding for its
Longview Road, Blue Ridge to Spring Valley Road project; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section1. That the
revenue in the following account in the Capital Improvements Fund is estimated
in the following amount:
12-3090-890001-480160-89001270 Jackson
County CURS $1,400,000.00
Section 2. That $1,400,000.00
is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Capital
Improvements Fund to the following account:
12-3090-898016-B-89001270 Longview-Blue
Ridge to $1,400,000.00
Spring
Valley
Section 3. That the
Director of Public Works is authorized to accept funds from Jackson County and
is designated requisitioning authority for Account No. 12-3090-898016.
Section 4. That
this ordinance is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of
Section 503 of the City Charter in that it appropriates money, and shall take
effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify
that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the
appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash
balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund
from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby
incurred.
