RESOLUTION NO. 920947
Honoring Marion A. Trozzolo for his outstanding
contributions to Kansas City, Missouri.
WHEREAS, Marion Trozzolo arrived in Kansas City
forty years ago and immediately began impacting Kansas Citians by instilling
business principals in students at area colleges; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Trozzolo utilized his business
ingenuity to begin Laboratory Plasticware Fabricators and became the first
American producer of Teflon-coated frying pans; and
WHEREAS, he fostered growth in the River Quay area
by developing numerous parcels of land and extended his venture by renovating
several old office buildings in downtown Kansas City; and
WHEREAS, seven children were born to Mr. Trozzolo
and Phyllis, his wife of 35 years; his children are Alexandra, Angela, Andrea
Anita, Peter, Jon, and Alisa; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That the Mayor and Council are hereby saddened by
the news of the passing of Mr. Trozzolo, and express appreciation to the family
of this innovative leader of Kansas City, for the tireless efforts of Marion
Trozzolo to improve Kansas City through technology and development.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be
spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy
hereof be furnished to the family of Marion A. Trozzolo.
