ORDINANCE NO. 980437

 

Authorizing execution of a $20,000.00 contract with HNTB Corporation for funds for planning, architectural design and facilitation assistance for a Redevelopment Action Plan for the former Little Sisters of the Poor facility.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to execute a contract with HNTB Corporation, in the amount of $20,000.00, for the purpose of providing funds for planning, architectural design and facilitation assistance for development of a Redevelopment Action Plan for the former Little Sisters of the Poor facility, generally located at 54th and Woodland, to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account Nos. 92-261-055-2281-B, Housing Strategy Planning ($11,027.15); 95-263-055-2281-B, Housing Strategy Planning ($8,130.22); and 98-266-055-2281-B, Housing Strategy Planning ($842.63). A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
