ORDINANCE NO. 970754

 

Accepting various deeds conveying to Kansas City certain lands in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, for public use for park purposes and directing the City Clerk to file same.

 

WHEREAS, the Council finds and determines that by Resolution No. 23760 adopted by the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners on February 18, 1997, certain lands were acquired for public use for park purposes in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and said Board has now recommended to the Council that the deeds hereinafter described be accepted for such public use; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the following listed deeds, recorded by the Jackson County Recorder of Deeds in Kansas City, Missouri, be and the same are hereby accepted for park purposes:

Section 2. That upon the effective date of this Ordinance, the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause said Ordinance to be recorded in the office of the Jackson County Recorder of Deeds in Kansas City, Missouri, as evidence of the acceptance of said lands by Kansas City for public use for park purposes as an addition to Marlborough Community Center.

 

Section 3. That the Council does declare in accordance with the provisions of Resolution No. 23760 adopted February 18, 1997, by the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners, that said lands in accordance with Section 58 of Article III of the Charter of Kansas City shall remain as part of the parks system of Kansas City forever.
