ORDINANCE NO. 961254

Approving the sale of old Fire Station #1 located at 1215 Union Street and authorizing the Director of Finance to execute a deed therefore.

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 961053 passed August 15, 1996, declared the property in excess to the City's needs for public use and authorized the sale by competitive bids; and

WHEREAS, the City by that competitive bid process, received a bid from George R. Lipari, who offered $20,000.00 for said property, NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Council hereby accepts the bid from George R. Lipari in the amount of $20,000.00 for the property located at 1215 Union Street and approves the sale of said property to him and hereby authorizes the Director of Finance to execute a Special Warranty Deed conveying said property.
