ORDINANCE NO. 940663

Authorizing execution of an agreement with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission, in the amount of $360,938.70, for construction of enhancements to Bruce Watkins Drive between 63rd and 47th Streets and engineering costs for enhanced walls between Brush Creek and 30th Street; and authorizing expenditure of funds therefor.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission, to provide funds up to $360,938.70, for construction of enhancements to Bruce Watkins Drive between 63rd and 47th Streets and engineering costs for enhanced walls between Brush Creek and 30th Street. A copy of said agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to expend funds up to the amount of $360,938.70 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 95-309-055-7700-T, Bruce R. Watkins Roadway Construction, for said agreement.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
