ORDINANCE NO. 960491
Establishing the 1996 Sewer Revenue Bond Fund; estimating
bond proceeds in the 1996 Sewer Revenue Bond Fund and appropriating same;
estimating revenue in the Sewer Fund; designating requisitioning authority;
authorizing the Director of Finance to close project accounts upon completion;
and recognizing an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the Fund No. 818, 1996 Sewer
Revenue Bond Fund, is established in the records of the City of Kansas City,
Missouri.
Section 2. That the revenue in the following
accounts of the 1996 Sewer Revenue Bond Fund is estimated in the following
amounts:
96-818-086-9000 Proceeds from Sale of Bonds $24,000,000.00
96-818-086-8510 Premium on Bonds Sold
279,527.00 TOTAL $24,279,527.00
Section 3. That the sum of $24,279,527.00 is
appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the 1996 Sewer Revenue
Bond Fund to the following accounts:
96-818-012-9620-B Bond Issue
Expense $ 301,644.00 96-818-012-9631-B Discount on
Sale of Bonds 162,210.00 96-818-086-7702-T Pumping
Station Improvements 1,000,000.00 96-818-086-7703-T Sewer

Section 4. That the revenue in the following
account of the Sewer Fund is estimated in the following amount:
96-811-086-6071 Accrued Interest-Sale of
Bonds $ 88,540.00
Section 5. That the Director of Finance is
designated requisitioning authority for Account Nos. 96-818-012-9620-B and
96-818-012-9631-B; and the Director of Water Services is designated
requisitioning authority for Account Nos. 96-818-086-7702-T, 96-818-086-7703-T,
96-818-086-7704-T, 96-818-086-7705-T and 96-818-086-7706-T.
Section 6. That the Director of Finance is
authorized to close project accounts upon project completion and return the
unspent portion of the appropriation to the Fund Balance from which it came.
Section 7. That this ordinance, as a general
appropriation ordinance, is recognized as an emergency measure within the
provisions of Section 15, Article II of the Charter of Kansas City, and takes
effect immediately upon passage.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise
unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing
expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in
the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each
sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
