ORDINANCE NO. 900545

Approving a contract with the State of Missouri, Department of Public Safety, in the amount of $50,000.00 for State services to Victim Fund Program; reestimating revenues in the General Fund in the amount of $35,000.00 and appropriating said sum to an account within the General Fund; designating a requisitioning authority and recognizing an emergency.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the grant contract with the State of Missouri, Department of Public Safety, in the amount of $50,000.00 for the period October 1, 1990 through June 30, 1991, for the Domestic Violence Court Program is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the General Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:

1-60202 Domestic Violence Court Program $35,000.00 Grant - 1991

Section 3. That the sum of $35,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund, Account No. 1-801, to the following account in the General Fund:

1-13102B Law Department - Domestic Violence $35,000.00 Court Program

Section 4. That the City Attorney is hereby designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 1-13102, Domestic Violence Court Program.

Section 5. That this ordinance, making provision for the current expenses of the municipal government, is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 15, Article II, of the Charter of Kansas City, and shall take effect immediately upon passage.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
