RESOLUTION NO. 130876

 

Amending the Eastwood Hills Neighborhood Plan by amending the Proposed Land Use Plan and Map for an area approximately 5.244 acres generally located at 7100 E. 50th Street, by changing the recommended land use designation from Neighborhood Mixed Use to Mixed Use and making any necessary text amendments to the Plan for the outdoor storage of equipment within said property. (630-S-1)

 

WHEREAS, on November 17, 2005, the City Council by Resolution No. 051299 adopted the Eastwood Hills Neighborhood Plan as a guide for the future development and redevelopment for the area generally bounded by the Raytown Road/Stadium Drive on the north, the Blue River on the west, 55th Street/Blue Parkway on the south and Blue Ridge Cut-off on the east; and

 

WHEREAS, the Eastwood Hills Neighborhood Plan was further amended on April 8, 2010 by Resolution 091008; and

 

WHEREAS, after further review, it has been deemed appropriate to amend the Eastwood Hills Neighborhood Plan as it affects that area of approximately 5.244 acres generally located at 7100 E. 50th Street by changing the recommended land use designation from Neighborhood Mixed Use to Mixed Use and to make text amendments to the Plan for the outdoor storage of equipment within said property; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Plan Commission will consider such amendment to the Proposed Land Use Plan and Map on November 19, 2013; and

 

WHEREAS, after all interested persons will be given an opportunity to present testimony, the City Plan Commission on November 19, 2013 recommended _____ of the proposed amendment to the Eastwood Hills Neighborhood Plan; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Eastwood Hills Neighborhood Plan, is hereby amended as to the Proposed Land Use Plan and Map for that area of approximately 5.244 acres generally located at 7100 E. 50th Street by changing the recommended land use designation from Neighborhood Mixed Use to Mixed Use and by making amendments to the text of the Plan for the outdoor storage of equipment within said property. A copy of the amendment to the Eastwood Hills Neighborhood Plan is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 2. That the amendment to the Eastwood Hills Neighborhood Plan is consistent and complies with the FOCUS Kansas City Plan, adopted on October 30, 1997, by Committee Substitute for Resolution No. 971268, and is adopted as a supplement to the FOCUS Kansas City Plan.

 

Section 3. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices have been given and hearings required by the Zoning and Development Code have been held.
