ORDINANCE NO. 001329

 

Approving the sale of property at 115 East 31st Terrace and authorizing the Director of Finance to execute a deed therefore and directing the City Clerk to file same.

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 000928 passed July 20, 2000, declared the property in excess to the Citys needs for public use and authorized the sale by competitive bids; and

 

WHEREAS, the City, by that competitive bid process, received a bid from Elizabeth Goodman who offered $1,650.00 for said property; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Council hereby accepts the bid from Elizabeth Goodman in the amount of $1,650.00 for the property located at 115 East 31st Terrace and approves the sale of said property to her and hereby authorizes the Director of Finance to execute a Special Warranty Deed conveying said property.

 

Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the General Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:

 

01-100-064-8500 Sale of City Real Estate $100.00

 

Section 3. That the sum of $100.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to the following account in the General Fund:

 

01-100-064-2025-B Property and Relocation Services $100.00

 

Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to record a copy of this ordinance in the office of the Director of Records for Jackson County, Missouri, as evidence of the acceptance of the herein described property by the City for public use purposes.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
