ORDINANCE NO. 140467

 

Authorizing the Director of Water Services to enter into a $3,000,000.00 contract with Genesis Plumbing Enterprises, LLC, for the sewer line repairs at various locations in Fiscal Year 2015.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services Department is authorized to execute Contract No. 1129, Project No. 81000726, with Genesis Plumbing Enterprises, LLC, in the amount of $3,000,000.00, for the sewer line repairs at various locations in Fiscal Year 2015 for projects located in Cass, Clay, Jackson, and Platte Counties, Kansas City, Missouri. A copy of the contract is on file in the office of the Director of Water Services. 

 

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend up to the sum of $3,000,000.00 from Account No. 15-8110-802040-B-619060, Maint Div-Swr Repair, to satisfy the costs of this project.

 

Section 3. That the Director of Water Services is hereby authorized to execute two successive renewal options for this contract without additional Council approval with such funds as appropriated by the Council in future annual budgets.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
