ORDINANCE NO. 061101

 

Authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend $836,000.00 for the North Congress and Tiffany Springs improvement project

 

WHEREAS, by Ordinance 041203, passed November 4, 2004, the Council authorized a $1,672,000.00 agreement with Platte County for the improvements to North Congress and Tiffany Springs Road;

 

WHEREAS, the construction is complete and funding for two of the four years is available; NOW, THERFORE;

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend $836,000.00 as and for the Citys Fiscal Year 2005-06 and 2006-07 share of the agreement from funds previously appropriated in the following accounts:

 

07-3090-898201-B N. Congress & Tiffany Springs Road $329,328.00

07-3090-898701-B N. Congress & Tiffany Springs Road 506,672.00

TOTAL $836,000.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
