ORDINANCE NO. 930181

Accepting a Special Warranty Deed from Land Trust of Jackson County conveying to Kansas City certain lands in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri for public use for boulevard purposes.

WHEREAS, the Council finds and determines that by Resolution No. 22069 adopted by the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners on January 19, 1993, certain lands were acquired for public use for boulevard purposes in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri and said Board has now recommended to the Council that the deed hereinafter described be accepted for such public use; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That a Special Warranty Deed from Land Trust of Jackson County, Missouri to the City of Kansas City, Missouri, recorded in the office of the Director of Records for Jackson County, Missouri, at Kansas City as Instrument No. I1137271 in Book I2299 at Page 370 is hereby accepted for public use for boulevard purposes.

Section 2. That upon the effective date of this ordinance, the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause said ordinance to be recorded in the office of the Director of Records for Jackson County, Missouri at Kansas City as evidence of the acceptance of said lands by Kansas City for public use for boulevard purposes, and the Council does hereby declare that in accordance with the provisions of Resolution No. 22069 adopted January 19, 1993, by the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners, and in accordance with Section 58 of Article III of the Charter of Kansas City, Missouri, said land shall remain as part of the Parks and Boulevards system of Kansas City forever.
