ORDINANCE NO. 900822

Accepting and approving a contract with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources whereby the State will fund the City's Air Quality Program for one year beginning October 1, 1990, for $167,000.00, and increasing revenue estimates by $23,000.00 and appropriating that same amount to reflect that funding.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the contract between the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Kansas City, Missouri Health Department, acting through its Director of Health, whereby the DNR agrees to fund the City's Air Quality Program for one year beginning October 1, 1990, in the amount not to exceed $167,000.00 is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of said contract is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

Section 2. That the revenue estimate in the following account in the General Fund is hereby increased by the following amount:

1-46920 Air Quality Control Permits $23,000.00

Section 3. That the sum of $23,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund Account No. 1-801, to the following account in the following amount:

1-50369-E Air Quality Control $23,000.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure, is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
