ORDINANCE NO. 920290

Approving and accepting an amendment to the current contract with the Kansas City Free Health Clinic whereby the Clinic will provide additional HIV antibody counseling and testing services for one year beginning March 1, 1991, for which the City will provide an additional $991.00 in previously appropriated reimbursement funding, and recognizing an emergency.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the current contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and the Kansas City Free Health Clinic, for the period of March 1, 1991 through February 29, 1992, previously accepted by Ordinance No. 911306 is hereby amended to provide for additional HIV Antibody Counseling and Testing, for which the City will pay an additional $991.00, from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 1-50314-B by Ordinance No. 910374. A copy of the amendment is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

Section 2. That this ordinance, making a provision for the expenditure of funds in connection with the preservation of the public health, is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Article II, Section 15 of the Charter of Kansas City, Missouri, and shall take effect immediately upon passage.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure, is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
