RESOLUTION NO. 120674

 

Honoring Mary Ann Williams on her retirement after 15 years and 10 months of dedicated service to the City of Kansas City, Missouri.

 

WHEREAS, Mary Ann started her career with the City in the Consumer Services Division of the Water Services Department in September 1997 and has worked in Meter Sales, Final Billing and the Information Call Center sections of this Division; and

 

WHEREAS, Mary Ann is recognized as a hard worker, and has won two exceptional service awards in 2003 and 2007; and

 

WHEREAS, Mary Ann was born in St. Paul Minnesota, and is married to Mr. Albert G. Williams, they have six children, thirty grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren; and

 

WHEREAS, Mary Ann serves as President of the Usher Board and sings in the mass choir as a member of the Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Christ, where Bishop James D. Tindall is the pastor; and

 

WHEREAS, Mary Ann enjoys listening to music, watching soap operas, playing computer games, and word search puzzles; and

 

WHEREAS, Mary Ann looks forward to her retirement in order to travel and spend lots of time with her family; and

 

WHEREAS, August 1, 2012, will mark the last day of Mary Ann’s career with the City of Kansas City, Missouri; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY;

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby extend to Ms. Mary Ann Williams, on the occasion of her retirement from City service, the heartiest best wishes for her future, together with appreciation for her 15 years and 10 months of dedicated service to the citizens of Kansas City; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Ms. Mary Ann Williams in token of the Mayor and Council’s respect and high regard and their best wishes for the long and happy retirement which she so richly deserves.
