ORDINANCE NO. 110842

 

Authorizing the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners, or their designee, to purchase land from NP3 Racing, LLC, and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners, or their designee, is authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, a contract with NP3 Racing, LLC, for the acquisition of real estate at approximately 82nd and Noland Road. A substantial version of the contract is on file in the Parks and Recreation Department. 

 

Section 2. That the Parks and Recreation Commissioners, or their designee, through their Resolution No. 29108 passed on October 25, 2011, is authorized to expend funds appropriated in the following accounts in the amounts so designated in the contract 12-3090-708509-70114910 and ALL-6490-702800-70114910.

Section 3. That this ordinance, relating to an expense of government, is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 503(a)(3)(B) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
