RESOLUTION NO. 030427

 

Honoring 9 Department of Environmental Management associates on the occasion of their retirement after many years of dedicated service to the citizens of Kansas City, Missouri.

 

WHEREAS, the associates employed by the Department of Environmental Management are the heart and soul of the Department; and

 

WHEREAS, while demand for services upon the Department of Environmental Management have increased during recent years, the associates of the Department have responded to the challenges with innovative ideas and greater levels of productivity; and

 

WHEREAS, associates in the Department of Environmental Management have involved themselves in the long-term improvement and betterment of the Department by demonstrating a high level of commitment and devotion to their work and always performed their duties in a superior manner; and

 

WHEREAS, the following listed associates retired February 1, 2003 from City Employment: Lenora Holmes, Code Enforcement Officer II; March 1, 2003 from City Employment: Larry Burns, General Supervisor, Allean Jones, Code Enforcement Officer II, James T. Whitney III, General Supervisor, Sylvester Kirby, Equipment Operator I; April 1, 2003 from City Service: Richard Mann, Animal Control Officer, Carolyn George, Administrative Assistant III, R.C. Bonds, Code Enforcement Manager, David Johnson, Equipment Operator II; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby extend their most sincere appreciation for the many years of dedicated service, together with their heartiest best wishes for the future, to each Department of Environmental Management Associate retiring from City Service; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy of hereof be presented to each listed retiree in token of the Mayor and Councils respect and high regard and their best wishes for long and happy retirements which are so richly deserved.
