ORDINANCE NO. 951413

 

Authorizing the Director of City Development to enter into a lease agreement between the City and West 23rd Corporation, for a term of one year beginning November 1, 1995, at the rate of $170.00 per month, for office space and utilities located at 599 W. 23rd (Westside Professional Building).

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of City Development is authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, a lease agreement, whereby the City leases from the West 23rd Corporation, for twelve months beginning November 1, 1995, approximately 197 square feet of office space situated in a building located at 599 W. 23rd (Westside Professional Building) at a rate of $10.35 per square foot per year, for a total rent of $2,040.00 for the term, to be paid from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 92-261-055-2281-B, to house City Development staff for Westside Planning. A copy of the lease agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
