ORDINANCE NO. 090281

 

Reestimating revenue in the amount of $280,000.00 in the Home Investment Partnership Grant account; appropriating $280,000.00 to the Home Investment Partnership Grant account to roll forward unexpended grant funds from previous fiscal years to the current fiscal year; authorizing the Acting Director of Housing and Community Development to enter into a $280,000.00 contract with Jazz District Redevelopment Corporation for the rehabilitation of the six houses on Highland and the Rochester Hotel, all of which are located in the Historic 18th & Vine Jazz District; and designating requisitioning authority.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the revenue in the following account of the Home Investment Partnership Grant Fund is hereby reestimated in the following additional amount:

 10-2940-550001-476050 Housing Services $280,000.00 

Section 2. That the sum of $280,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Home Investment Partnership Grant Fund to the following account: 

10-2940-555316-B Housing Services $280,000.00

Section 3. That the Acting Director of Housing and Community Development is authorized to enter into a $280,000.00 contract with Jazz District Redevelopment Corporation for the rehabilitation of the six houses on Highland, located at 1816-1826 Highland Avenue, and the Rochester Hotel, located at 1821 Highland Avenue, all of which are located in the Historic 18th & Vine Jazz District.

Section 4. That the Acting Director of Housing and Community Development is designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 10-2940-555316.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
