ORDINANCE NO. 140047

 

Authorizing the Director of Water Services to enter into a $3,200,000.00 contract with Foley Company and a $633,000.00 contract with Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company, Inc., for the East Bottoms Pump Station Rehabilitation – Phase I.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services Department is authorized to execute Contract No. 8864, Project No. 80000237, with Foley Company, in the amount of $3,163,000.00 for Phase I rehabilitation of the East Bottoms Pump Station.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services Department is authorized to execute Contract No. 8966, Project No. 80000237, with Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company, Inc., in the amount of $632,820.00 for construction phase services associated with Phase I rehabilitation of the East Bottoms Pump Station.

 

Section 3. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend up to $4,032,820.00 from Account No. AL-8073-807715-B-611060, Pump Stations, to satisfy the cost of these contracts.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
