ORDINANCE NO. 900523

Authorizing the expenditure of funds for costs associated with appraisal and environmental analysis of property for the Martin Luther King Village project, in the amount of Thirty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($37,000.00); authorizing the Director of City Development, on behalf of the City, to enter into a cooperative agreement with the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority for the same.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the appropriation in the following account of the Capital Improvements Fund is hereby reduced by the following amount:

9-40794-T Economic Redevelopment $37,000.00

Section 2. That the sum of Thirty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($37,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Capital Improvements Fund, Account No. 9-801 to the following account in the Capital Improvements Fund:

9-15712-T Economic Redevelopment $37,000.00

Section 3. That the Director of City Development is hereby designated as the requisitioning authority for Account No. 9-15712-T.

Section 4. That the Director of City Development is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City, to enter into a cooperative agreement with the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority in the amount of Thirty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($37,000.00) for the purpose of providing appraisal and environmental analysis of property for the Martin Luther King Village. Further, the City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of said agreement to be recorded in the office of the Director of Records, Jackson County, and in the office of the Secretary of State. _____________________________________________

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencum- bered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unen- cumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
