ORDINANCE NO. 190076

 

Accepting and approving a one-year $126,873.00 grant award agreement from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to provide funding for a comprehensive human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) surveillance program in the Kansas City, Missouri area.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That a contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, whereby the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will provide funding to operate a comprehensive HIV surveillance program in the Kansas City, Missouri area and in the Missouri counties of Jackson, Platte, Clay, Cass and Ray from January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019, for an amount not to exceed $126,873.00, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is on file with the Director of Health.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Health is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $36,572.00 from funds appropriated to Account No. 19-2480-505416-G50242520 for the aforesaid contract.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
