Authorizing the City Manager to enter into a personal services contract with Elliott L.

Wheelan, Jr., for a term of nine months.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City, to enter into

a personal services contract with Elliott L. Wheelan, Jr., for consultation issues on employment issues

for a term of nine months in the amount of $74,583.00 from funds previously appropriated to

Account No. 97-100-014-1500-A. A copy of such personal services contract is attached hereto and

made a part hereof.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the

appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise

unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each

sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
