ORDINANCE NO. 920109

Authorizing the Director of Fire to enter into an agreement to provide fire suppression service to the City of Oakwood Park, Missouri.

WHEREAS, under the provisions of Article VI, Section 16, Missouri Constitution 1945, and its implementing statutes, political subdivisions of this state may contract and cooperate with each other for a common service; and

WHEREAS, the City of Oakwood Park, Missouri in addition to paying an annual fee for fire suppression service in their jurisdiction will maintain liability insurance coverage for Kansas City, Missouri which has the facilities and capacity to provide such fire suppression service to that area; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of the Fire Department is hereby authorized to execute a one year agreement with the City of Oakwood Park, Clay County, Missouri, to provide fire suppression service for a fee within the boundaries of that City. A copy of said agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof. _______________
