ORDINANCE NO. 031156

 

Approving the sale of property at 11102 Sunnyslope Drive and authorizing the Director of Finance to execute a deed therefore; estimating revenue in the amount of $31,552.00 in the General Fund; appropriating it to various accounts of the General Fund; directing the City Clerk to file certain documents with the appropriate offices; and designating requisitioning authority.

 

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 030485 passed April 24, 2003, declared the property in excess to the Citys needs for public use and authorized the sale by competitive bids; and

 

WHEREAS, the City by that competitive bid process, received a bid from Patrick James Studer, who offered $31,552.00 for the property; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Council hereby accepts the bid from Patrick James Studer, for the property in the amount of $31,552.00 located at 11102 Sunnyslope Drive and approves the sale of said property to him and hereby authorizes the Director of Finance to execute a Special Warranty Deed conveying the property. The legal description of the property is described as:

 

Tract 2: The east 160.25 feet of Lot 18, Block 2, Kings Hickman Orchards, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, according to the recorded plat thereof, except the east 5.00 feet thereof in Sunnyslope Drive.

 

Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the General Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:

 

04-100-064-8500 Sale of City Real Estate $31,552.00

 

Section 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to record a copy of this ordinance in the office of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County, at Kansas City, Missouri, as evidence of the sale of the herein described property by the City.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
