ORDINANCE NO. 961064

 

Authorizing a $27,500.00 five-year operating agreement and successive five-year renewal options with the Greater Kansas City Foreign-Trade Zone, Inc., at Kansas City International Airport, and appropriating $5,500.00 for the first year of the first term of the agreement.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to execute a $27,500.00 five-year agreement and successive five-year renewal options with the Greater Kansas City Foreign-Trade Zone, Inc., granting management and operation rights of Foreign-Trade Zone 15-3 at Kansas City International Airport, subject to appropriations for years two through five and the renewal options. A copy of the agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to expend an amount not to exceed $5,500.00 for the first year of the first term of the contract from funds previously appropriated to the following account:

 

97-821-062-1030-B-1245 Marketing $5,500.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
