COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 951395

 

Authorizing the Director of City Development to enter into a lease agreement between the City and K.C. Partners, for a term of one year beginning November 1, 1995, at the rate of $1,100.00 per month, for office space, utilities, and furnishings located on the 25th Floor of Oak Towers at 324 East 11th Street.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of City Development is authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, a lease agreement, whereby the City leases from the K.C. Partners, for 12 months beginning November 1, 1995, approximately 1,300 square feet of office space situated in a building located on the 25th Floor of Oak Towers at 324 East 11th Street at a rate of $10.15 per square foot per year, for a total rent of $13,195.00 for the term, to be paid from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 96-100-064-2020-B, to house relocation staff. A copy of the lease agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
