Authorizing a lease agreement with Donaldson Properties, Ltd. for the old Fire Station #41 building.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the City Manager is authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, a lease agreement with Donaldson Properties, Ltd. for the old Fire Station #41 building while the new Fire Station #41 is being built. Subject to Donaldsons acquisition of the old Fire Station #41 land from the City, the lease term begins with the Citys issuance of the notice to proceed for the construction of the new Fire Station #41, and the City is to enjoy free rent for the first fourteen (14) months, the estimated time it would take to have the construction completed. Subsequent to the fourteen (14) months, and subject to appropriation of funds by the City Council, the rate of the lease will be $1,000.00 per month until the new station construction is completed. A copy of the lease agreement, in substantial form, is on file with the Capital Improvements Management Office.
