ORDINANCE NO. 060134

 

Accepting and approving a six month $20,000.00 contract amendment with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services that provides funding to improve the immunization rate of Kansas City children; increasing revenue in the amount of $20,000.00 in the Governmental Grants Fund; and increasing appropriations in the amount of $12,103.00 in the Immunization Rate Improvement account of the Governmental Grants Fund.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That a contract amendment between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, acting through its Director of Administration, whereby the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will provide funding to improve the immunization rate of Kansas City, Missouri children through outreach clinics for at-risk children under the age of two, who may not be receiving adequate immunization coverage for a period of six months beginning November 1, 2005 through April 30, 2006, for an amount not to exceed $20,000.00, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the amendment, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the Governmental Grants Fund is hereby increased in the following amount:

06-2480-500001-476011 Immunization Improvements $20,000.00

Section 3. That the appropriations in the following account of the Governmental Grant Fund are hereby increased in the following amount:

06-2480-505421-A Immunization Improvement $10,103.00

06-2480-505421-C Immunization Improvement 2,000.00

TOTAL $12,103.00

 

Section 4. That the Director of Health is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $20,000.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 06-2480-505421 for the aforesaid contract.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
