ORDINANCE NO. 960024

Approving the sale of land generally located at approximately 2400 E. 139th Street and authorizing the Mayor to execute a deed therefor.

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 951333 adopted by the Council on October 12, 1995, declared the property located at approximately 2400 E. 139th Street to be in excess of the City's needs for public use and directed the Director of City Development to offer it for sale by competitive bid; and

WHEREAS, the City by that competitive bid process, received a bid from Michael F.

Hagan offering $8,567.00 for said property; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Council hereby accepts the bid from Michael F. Hagan in the amount of $8,567.00 for the property located at approximately 2400 E. 139th Street in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and approves the sale of said property to him and hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute a Special Warranty Deed so conveying said property. The property is more specifically described as:

All that part of the Southwest One-Quarter (1/4) of the Southeast One-Quarter (1/4) of Section 21, Township 47, Range 33 in Jackson County, Missouri, described as follows: Commencing at the southwest corner of said 1/4 1/4 1/4 Section; thence north along the west line thereof three hundred thirty (330) feet; thence east one hundred thirty-two (132) feet; thence south three hundred thirty (330) feet; thence west one hundred thirty-two (132) feet to the point of beginning. Except part in streets.
