Amending Committee Substitute for
Ordinance No. 050746, As Amended; by repealing and reenacting Sections 2
through 5; and recognizing an emergency.
WHEREAS,
Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 050746, As Amended, adopted by Council
on June 23, 2005 authorized the Director of Public Works to enter into a
$25,621,402.00 contract with Kraus-Anderson Construction Company for Project
No. 89000930 for construction of a New Police Training Academy; and
WHEREAS,
Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 050746, As Amended, contained erroneous
accounting information in Sections 2 through 5; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section A. That
Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 050746, As Amended, is hereby amended
by repealing and reenacting Sections 2 through 5 as follows:
Section 2. That
the revenue in the following account of the Public Safety Sales Tax is hereby
reduced by the following amount:

Section 3. That

the sum of $26,743,786.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund
Balance of the Public Safety Sales Tax Fund to the following account in the

Section B. That all
sections of Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 050746, As Amended, not
repealed and reenacted above shall remain effective.
Section C. This
ordinance, making provision for the current expenses of the municipal
government, is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of
Section 15, Article II of the City Charter, and shall take effect in
accordance with that section.
