COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 030868

Authorizing execution of a three months Cooperative Agreement with the Tax Increment Financing Commission of Kansas City, Missouri, for the purpose of administering the Midtown Housing Program of the Midtown Redevelopment Tax Increment Financing Plan.

WHEREAS, the City adopted Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 001466, As Amended, which provides for a housing program to be implemented in connection with the Midtown Redevelopment Tax Increment Financing Plan; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 001466, As Amended, the Third Amendment to the Midtown Redevelopment Tax Increment Financing Plan provides that the City will administer the Midtown Housing Program; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Committee Substitute for Resolution No. 010668, the City declared its intent to execute a contract with the Tax Increment Financing Commission of Kansas City, Missouri, for the operation of the program; and

WHEREAS, the City pursuant to Ordinance Nos. 010814 and 020649 entered into Cooperative Agreements with the Tax Increment Finance Commission for the purpose of administering the Midtown Housing Program; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of the Department of City Development is hereby authorized to execute a three months Cooperative Agreement, on behalf of the City, with the Tax Increment Financing Commission of Kansas City, Missouri, for the purpose of administering the Midtown Housing Program approved as part of the Third Amendment to the Midtown Redevelopment Tax Increment Financing Plan. A copy of the Cooperative Agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.
