ORDINANCE NO. 210068
Estimating revenues and
appropriating funds in the amount $190,000.00 to the HOME Investment Fund and
authorizing the Director of Neighborhoods and Housing Services to enter into a
HOME rental development agreement with 43 Antioch, LLC for the construction of
the Brookwood at Antioch project.
WHEREAS, on March 21, 2019, through Committee
Substitute for Resolution No. 190013, the Council approved the 2019 One-Year
Action Plan which included Home Investments Partnerships Program (HOME) funds
for housing development in targeted areas; and
WHEREAS, Brookwood at Antioch, a Choice Neighborhoods
Project, was awarded 2019 low income housing tax credits through the Missouri
Housing Development Commission for new construction of 66 units of mixed income
family housing located at 2620 N.E. 43rd Street and City HOME funds
are necessary in order for the project to move forward; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE
COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the revenue in the following
account of the HOME Investment Fund is estimated in the following amount:
21-2940-570001-476050-G57HOME19 HOME Investment $190,000.00
Section 2. That the amount of $190,000.00 is hereby
appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance to the following
account in the HOME Investment Fund:
21-2940-575326-B-G57HOME19 HOME Investment $190,000.00
Section 3. That the Director of Neighborhoods and Housing Services is
authorized to enter into a rental development and funding agreement with
43Antioch LLC.

that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the
appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash
balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund
from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby
